All Newly Announced Games at TGA 2021

The Game Awards had a lot of interesting reveals this year. The first of these is the newly announced games that we could now start looking forward to. Although some of these reveals didn’t give us a clear timeline on when we can expect these games to release. Nevertheless, we have listed all these games. Here are all the newly announced games at TGA 2021, in no particular order:

Disclaimer: This list does not include new gameplay trailers for games that have already been announced while in development. We might include games that have finally been officially confirmed after much speculation, but not games that have already been announced but with new reveals in TGA 2021.

  1. Tunic – December 14, 2021 – Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Andrew Shouldice, Fingi)
  2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – TBD – “Next-gen PC and consoles) (Gun Interactive, Sumo Nottingham)
  3. Homeworld 3 – Q4 2022 – PC (Gearbox, Blackbird Interactive)

    Finally, a new homeworld Game! With age of empires 4 winning Strategy Game of the Year at TGA 2021, the return of homeworld also usher in a new wave of RTS games? We hope so, and we want more great RTS games like this to come out. Hopefully the successes of these two games can encourage the developers to bring RTS back to its former glory.

  4. The Expanse: A TellTale Series – TBD – TBD (Telltale, Deck Nine)
  5. Thirsty suitors – TBD – TBD (Outerloop, Annapurna Interactive)
  6. happy death – March 2022 – Steam Early Access (Magic Design Studios, Perfect World Entertainment)
  7. Lana’s Planet – 2022 – Steam, Xbox Series X, Xbox One (Wishfully, Thunderful Publishing)
  8. star wars eclipse – TBD – TBD (Quantic Dream, Lucasfilm Games)

    A new star wars game, but this time with more drama and less action. It will be a while before we get our hands on this game, but what we know so far is that it will be a narrative game set in the High Republic era.

  9. wonder woman – TBD – TBD (Warner Bros., Monolith)
  10. Alan Wake 2 – 2023 – EGS, PS5, Xbox Series X (Remedy Entertainment, Epic Games)

    This finally confirms the multiple rumors we have had. Alan Wake 2 is finally here, and he looks a lot like Jake Gyllenhaal.

  11. Nithingale – 2022 – PC (Inflection Games, Improbable)

    An incredible game that could well be next year’s novelty Hunt: Confrontation – a fantastic atmosphere and multiplayer gameplay but with a very small community.

  12. Somerville – 2022 – PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Jumpship)
  13. Chia – 2022 – Steam, PS4, PS5 (Awaceb)

    Inspired by New Caledoniathis game looks like another breath of the wild inspired experience that mixes family tones with adventure. It also has some themes inspired by Super Mario Odysseywhich is an interesting touch.

  14. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 – TBD – PC, PS5, Xbox Series X (Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment)

    A brand new Space Marines Game? What a time to be alive for shooter fans. There is also news of a new Warhammer Vermintide 2 expansion pass with the War Priest, so there’s also that for war hammer Fans.

  15. split head – 2023 – “Modern PC and consoles” (Bokeh Game Studios)

    This one is interesting. Designed by the same minds responsible for silent Hillthis horrible nightmare is something I would dream about until it comes out.

  16. Rumbleverse – February 8, 2022 – EGS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Iron Galaxy, Epic Games)

    Interesting concept, but could easily be 2022 Knockout City. Hoping for the best, as a wrestling fan.

  17. Dune – Spice Wars – 2022 – Steam (Shiro Games, Funcom)
  18. Among us VR – TBD – SteamVR, Oculus Quest 2 (Innersoth)

    They finally did it. We can now call each other sus in VR and point fingers at each other’s faces. More importantly, we’ll experience what it’s like to be dropped into outer space in virtual reality.

  19. SteelRising – June 2022 – PC, PS5, Xbox Series X (Spiders, Nacon, BIGBEN INTERACTIVE)
  20. Infernal singer of metal – 2021 – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (The Outsiders, Funcom)
  21. Star Trek – Resurgence – Spring 2022 – EGS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 (Dramatic Labs)
  22. ARC Raiders – 2022 – PC, Nvidia GeForce Now, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Embark Studios, Nexon)
  23. The matrix awakens – December 9, 2021 – Xbox Series X, PS5 (Epic Games)

    More a tech demo than a real game, The matrix awakens showcases all the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.

  24. sound borders – Q4 2022 – PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X (Sonic Team, Sega)

    Finally, an official open world announcement Sonic Game! This game is going to be real crazy. Previous 3D Sonic games didn’t go well, but this could be an incredible opportunity for the Sonic team to seize Sonic to a whole new level.
