Deathloop Wins Big at the 2022 IGDA Global Industry Game Awards

The 2022 Global Industry Game Awards took place last night, hosted annually by the International Game Developers Association.

Arkane was the big winner of the night with Deathloop, which took home 13 different awards across art, audio, design, technology, and media.

It Takes Two from EA’s Hazelight Studios also won ten awards, one for engineering, two for art, design and support, and three in the writing category.

Other titles to win multiple awards include Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Housemarque’s Returnal.

On the indie front, Witch Beam’s Unpacking won two awards for 2D Animation and 2D Environment Art. Kitfox’s Boyfriend Dungeon also appeared, winning the 2D Character Design award.

Mobile startup Double Loop Games also received two accolades for Upcoming Indie and Workplace Diversity and Inclusivity.
