Final Fantasy XVI and more


CESA has announced the 10 most anticipated titles that have won the Future division of the Japan Game Awards.

Today, the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, which organizes the Tokyo Game Show, concluded the 2022 edition with the traditional awards ceremony of the Future Division of the Japan Game Awards.

10 games were selected via online user voting between September 15 and 17, representing the most anticipated of the upcoming titles.

Below is the full list, which includes mostly predictable titles, but also a few surprises.

  • Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key

  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Speak
  • Like a dragon: Ishin!
  • Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection
  • Street Fighter 6

  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

While it’s no surprise that most of the award-winning games come from Japan, Indonesian developer Mojiken Studio’s A Space for the Unbound also managed to be among the winners. Interestingly, this year’s Call of Duty was left out despite the franchise having made the list multiple times in the past.
