Hornets unveil ‘Let’s Fly’ as theme for 2022-23 season

October 21, 2022The Charlotte Hornets today unveiled “Let’s Fly” as the theme for the 2022-23 season, kicking off the tagline with a video that was released on the franchise’s social platforms and hornets.com.

A progression of the previous tagline ‘All Fly’, ‘Let’s Fly’ is meant to be a rallying call inviting fans and the community to join the team as it continues to rise, both this season and in the future. as the Hornets spread their wings and move on to the next stage of growth. The term also refers to the club’s style of play – a fast-paced attacking style with teeming intensity – as well as the organization’s commitment to bringing the community together to uplift the city of Charlotte and its citizens.

The intro video welcomes viewers to “Flight 704” and features visuals and metaphors designed to depict the preparation for the flight, and the energy and excitement that comes with it. The video is a collaboration between the Hornets and local video editor Christian Duprez. Local artist Reuben Vincent, a Charlotte native signed to Jamla Records and Roc Nation, wrote and performed the narration.

The Hornets opened the 2022-23 season on Wednesday with a 129-102 road win over the San Antonio Spurs. The home portion of the schedule begins tonight at 7 p.m. when Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans visit the Spectrum Center.
