Don’t let your brain get lost around Kevin Bacon, because the Emmy-nominated actor has teamed up with the minds that popularized Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? to host a new UK quiz show.
EW confirmed the the mystical river the actor will launch the new game show Lucky 13which he will also produce alongside David Schiff and Millionaire Claudia Rosencrantz and Adrian Woolfe. The 64-year-old can also host the series in English-speaking territories around the world, but not in the United States.
“I played the game and was hooked. It’s not just about what you know, it’s also about what you think you know. It’s fun and addictive!” Bacon said. Variety of the format of the upcoming series, which the publication says will be a “high-stakes general knowledge rolling quiz format” that will run for 60 minutes.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been 24 years since we launched Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? It’s a good time for the quiz to enjoy its time in the spotlight again,” Woolfe told the outlet. “While I don’t wish to make a direct comparison between the two formats, there is a simplicity engaging and magnetic tension at lucky 13 which I hope will keep viewers hooked and on the edge of their seats. It’s perfect for adapting across markets and languages and we can’t wait to launch it lucky 13 around the world.”
Together, Rosencrantz and Woolfe led the Millionaire franchise in markets around the world, with the former ITV entertainment executive also behind the Idol series, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Herethe To have talent series, as well as Hell’s Kitchen and the island of love.
A first date for lucky 13 has not yet been announced.
