Serẽa Coastal Cuisine will reopen on June 25 at the Hotel Del Coronado
Hospitality of the clique is delighted to announce their first sea-to-table dining experience, Sera by James Beard Smart Catch Chef Jose “JoJo” Ruiz to Reopen for Iconic Service Hotel del Coronado at Thursday June 25.
Serẽa, developed in partnership with The hospitality of Andy Masi’s clique debuted in July 2019 and offers Coronado and San Diego an expertly curated menu of sustainable seafood, meats and other signature selections with a Mediterranean twist. San Diego-based chef JoJo Ruiz has long-standing relationships with fishermen at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market, Catalina Offshore Products, Pacifico Aquaculture in Baja California, Superior Seafoods in Los Angeles and more, creating a menu that showcases the best of local and regional seafood, with special attention given to these and other local and regional suppliers. Ruiz’s unmatched dedication to his craft has earned him a spot on the James Beard Smart Catch Leader list – making his two San Diego-based restaurants, Serẽa and Lionfish in Pendry San Diego, the only two locations in San Diego with the prestigious distinction.

Following a mandatory shutdown in accordance with CDC guidelines, Masi’s team is proactively implementing all necessary protocols in accordance with State of California requirements to ensure the highest possible levels of service and prioritize the health and safety of customers and employees. Increased sanitation and cleaning procedures were implemented in day-to-day operations, alongside well-being assessments of team members. All employees and guests must adhere to facial coverage requirements while in the restaurant, in accordance with local health boards. The restaurant’s dining room and expansive outdoor patio will operate at reduced capacity, with tables set up to social distancing standards and clearly displayed social distancing markers. The updated protocols also include disposable and digital menus with a QR code for display on customers’ mobile devices.

Serẽa will open its doors on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
