The Game Awards 2022 will have a ticket-buying audience – Destructoid

Geoff’s Big Bash returns

As we arrive in October and the nights are getting colder, we are already beginning the countdown to this year’s GOTY season, as video game fans around the world choose their favorite titles, to determine which games represent the crowning glory. good technology and good times in 2022 And, of course, it wouldn’t be GOTY season without the arrival of Geoff Keighley’s big extreme party: Game rewards.

This year, members of the public who purchase tickets can buy a ticket at the live event. This is the first time the public has been allowed access to the event, having been understandably banned from attending since the onset of COVID-19. For the 2022 event, however, we simple peasants will be allowed to rub shoulders with the big and good in the gaming industry, (there are some, honestly), to enjoy a few hours of live performances, discounts of trophies and trailer after trailer after trailer – no doubt topped off with a 20-second video from Hideo Kojima.

So if you fancy heading to Los Angeles for this year’s event to see Ring of Elden win it all, then keep your eyes peeled on Geoff Keighley’s Twitter, and the Microsoft Theater website. Tickets go on sale Nov. 1, but the price of admission has yet to be announced. Be sure to iron your t-shirt with a tuxedo drawn on it, and don’t forget to bring your roller shoes and invisible dog leash. We will make them regret having reopened the doors to the little people.

The Game Awards 2022 will take place on December 8 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
