‘The Price Is Right’ Game Show Comes to Southwest Riverside County

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – Residents of Riverside County have a chance to appear on “The Price is Right” game show this fall as the show hits Temecula Road in November.

A Riverside County resident is already set to appear in an upcoming episode of “The Price Is Right” which airs in September. Hemet’s Julius Betts appears Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. on CBS, a spokesperson for the show told Patch. Betts joins the long list of contestants who have “gone down” over the show’s 50 seasons.

The game show is spending its anniversary season on the road for “The Price Is Right Come On Down Tour.” The coast-to-coast trip makes 50 stops across the country, including a two-day stint at the theater at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula on Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.

For $40 a ticket, fans can appear in the Temecula crowd for a chance to be called down the aisle, play games and maybe even win the grand prize of $50,000 while supporting businesses. local along the way,

“The Price is Right” remains the longest-running game show in television history, according to CBS Entertainment Group president and chief marketing officer Mike Benson.

“The Price is Right” premiered on September 4, 1972, as original host Bob Barker presented everyday household items to members of the public for a chance to win cash and prizes. Drew Carey has hosted the CBS show since 2007. The game show has given away more than $300 million to contestants since its inception, according to Benson.
